Emerald Princess Ports of Call.
Day 1
Ft. Lauderdale , FL
Ft. Lauderdale is a gracious destination with sophisticated cuisine, beautiful beaches, sunshine, coastline, nightclubs and superb restaurants. More restaurants and shopping on Las Olas Boulevard or Himmarshee in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Once party central for Spring Breakers, it now offers some of the finest restaurants in Florida. The best shopping are to be found in Las Olas Blvd. and Himmarshee. See the Swimming Hall of Frame just off of Route A1A or just enjoy the beach. Scuba diving is available through Pro Dive. Local attractions include Everglades Airboat rides, Flamingo Gardens Wildlife Sanctuary and the Swimmers Hall of Fame.
Day 4
Aruba is the "A" of the "ABC" islands. It is also has the most developed resort facilities. Excursions include the Butterfly Farm, Ostrich Farm, ferry ride to the secluded De Palm island where snorkeling is available. See the island's arid land with cacti, divi-divi trees, wild goats and iguanas. Go to the beautiful Baby Natural Bridge whose arch is formed by the waves from the ocean (photo).
Day 5
Bonaire, N. A.
Bonaire is the most rustic of the "ABC" islands. It's downtown area consists of small, Carabbean style houses with family owned restaurants that serve fine Dutch food. The dock area is relatively small, with few cruise ships. Excursions include snorkeling at Marine Park or on Seacow, Kayak at Kac Bay, and shallow water Scuba for beginners or shore diving for certified divers. Or you can relax on the beach at Klein Bonaire (photo).
Day 6
Grenada is also know as the "Isle of Spice" and you can visit Grand Etang National Park with it's tropical fruit and vegetable groves. Visit Fort Frederick that was founded by the French in 1779 with it's fantastic view of the town and harbor below. See the grand Etang Crater Lake and Annandale Falls (photo). You can walk down a steep pathto a green oasis surrounded by hanging ferns and medicinal plants.
Day 7
One of the most beautiful sights in Dominica is the Botanical Gardens (photo). From here you can observe the sisserou parrot (the National bird) and see tall, exotic trees. Then go on a garden tour that is conducted by the gardeners themselves and be entertained by the Giraudel Jing Ping Band. You can also visit Trafalgar falls (twin falls), rain forests and rois Piton National Park.
Day 8
St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
Take the scenic Skyline Drive to Mountain Top where you can enjoy a banana daiquiri while enjoying the breath taking view that includes nearby St. John (British V.I.). Shopping is plentiful in Charlotte Amalie. If you enjoy pirate lore, you can step back that era at Blackbeard's Castle Resort with the world's largest collection of life-size pirate sculptures in copper and bronze.
Day 9
Princess Cays, Bahamas
Become an underwater tourist at this private resort. You can get on a glass bottom boat and explore the pristine coral reefs of Eleuthera without getting into a wet suit. Or if you prefer the freedom of exploring the reef with Scuba diving, a single-tank dive with scuba equipment is available. Either way you'll get to see many reef fish - like parrotfish, grouper and queen angelfish.
